Hello, I’m Elsie. I’m a healthy, positive, and active grandmother who brings a lifetime of leadership, care, and real-world experience to trusted pet care at Private Pet Sitters. After raising three children and building a long career in education, I value patience, consistency, and creating calm, supportive environments for both people and animals.
I am a retired elementary school principal and teacher, with 27 years teaching Kindergarten through Grade 7 followed by 17 years in school administration. My Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership reflects a strong foundation in responsibility, organization, and clear communication. Throughout my career, I have been federally security vetted by the RCMP and trusted with the safety and well-being of large school communities, experience that translates naturally into home pet sitting and caring for clients’ homes and beloved pets.
Animals and the outdoors have always been an important part of my life. My family has shared our home with cats, dogs, rabbits, hamsters, and gerbils over the years, and I genuinely enjoy caring for animals of all personalities and energy levels. I believe pets thrive when their routines remain familiar, and I focus on creating a relaxed, attentive presence while owners are away.
